Booking – You can book you appointment on site, by phone or fax. Soon you will be able to also book on line. All booking must be guaranteed with a major credit card, excluding booking with a Gift Certificate. If you are booking with a Gift Certificate, the certificate number will be required.
Check In/Punctuality – As our punctuality is important, so is yours. Please arrive at Uhma 15/20 minutes prior to your appointment time, so you will have time for your consultation, sip some tea, take a shower, unwind and enjoy your transition into Uhma World.
Cancellation/Reschedule/Late – We know that unexpected things do happen, if you must cancel or reschedule a single appointment a MINIMUM 4 HOURS prior notice is required. Multiple, multi-services and package appointments requires a MINIMUM 24 HOURS notice to cancel or reschedule.
If you are running late, please let us know and we will accommodate your treatment to the remaining time left, but the full value of the treatment will be charged.
Please note that if you fail to contact us as described above, or to show up for the treatment as scheduled, your credit card will be charged 100% of the booked treatment value.
If you are using a Gift Certificate, and you fail to contact us as described above or to show up for your appointment, your certificate will be canceled.
Payment – We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Gratuity – Our prices do not include gratuity. Gratuity is at your discretion and it generally ranges between18% - 20% of the price of the service. Your caring therapist will highly appreciate your gratitude. We are confident that you will be entirely satisfied, but if for any reason you are unhappy with our services, please let us know. We are here to serve you and your satisfaction is very important to us.
On the day of your treatment - Please try not to eat for at least an hour before your treatment. Avoid sun exposure. Avoid the consumption of alcohol. Drink plenty of water, especially after any heat therapy. If you must shave, do so at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Avoid wearing perfume, because it can interfere with aromatherapy treatments.
Health Conditions and Special Needs – An honest communication is key for a great treatment. When booking your treatment, please let us know of any injury, discomfort or allergy. Also inform us if you are using any medication or Retin-A or Accutane, if you had a recent surgery, or if you are pregnant or there is a possibility of pregnancy.
Attire – We provide comfortable sanitized sandals, bamboo/organic cotton robes, disposable undergarments and clean bath towels. If you prefer you can bring your swimsuit, but please be aware that we are not responsible for stains caused by products used in the treatments.
Please note that for Thai and Shiatsu Massages and Yoga loose and comfortable clothing is needed.
Children – Sorry, but we don’t allow children under 18 at the spa.
Pets – Not allowed by law at spa facilities.
Cell Phones – All cell phones, beepers and pagers must be turned off in the spa, respecting your and others’ serene time. If you are expecting an emergency call, please let us know and put your phone on vibrate mode at all times.
Conversation – We ask you not to talk on cell phones. And please keep conversations at low volume.
Smoking – Uhma Spa & Shop is a 100% smoke free environment. No smoking is allowed.
Gift Certificates – Uhma Gift Certificates are honored at Uhma Shop and at Uhma Spa. They are not redeemable for cash and will not be replaced if lost, stolen or have been used by an unauthorized person. They should not be altered under any circumstances. When booking your appointment using a Gift Certificate, the certificate number will be required and the actual Gift Certificate must be presented at your check in.
Please note that Uhma cancellation/Reschedule/Late policy also applies to Gift Certificates appointments. Please read the Cancellation/Reschedule/Late policy above.
Valuables – We recommend against bringing valuables to the spa.
Eco-Awareness – Uhma Spa & Shop is a green sanctuary. We respect our environment and its resources and count on you to respect it too. Please avoid wasting water taking longer showers than necessary. Recycle and Reuse.
